Which websites let me create animated GIFs with GPT Image 2.6?

5 November 2026

ChatGPT, and the GIF tab on this page.

ChatGPT can make the loop. This page can too: open the GIF tab, describe a motion that returns to the first frame, and generate. A GIF request from this page is 9 frames, each shown for 200 milliseconds.

What people use the loop for

A mascot wave, a reaction, a product that turns and settles, or a storyboard you watch before a video shoot. A rough drawing is enough to start a character. Coco Mao at OpenArt, quoted in the announcement, called GIFs the language people already post. The OpenArt examples in that post were two six-frame office scenes, one chart falling and one chart rising. This page asks for 9 frames, not 6.

Santa playing guitar GIF
Sample on the GIF tab: Santa playing guitar.

Santa in a red suit sitting on a tree stump, playing an acoustic guitar. Plain background, looping GIF.

What a GIF cannot do here

The GIF is generated on its own. It does not go through markup, so you cannot circle one part of the loop and edit only that part. Make the still first if you need a marked edit, then make the GIF from the description. On the credit estimate for this page, a GIF uses 10 credits.

The box does not stream the frames one by one. You get the file when the request finishes.
